Josh Davey has been part of the Primary Sports team since 2018 working as an Ambassador, and inspiring children to participate in physical activity whilst understanding the journey from grass roots to being a professional sports athlete. He is also promoting the importance of mental health through mindfulness and holistic development of children.
“ I took the role of ambassador for Primary Sports as I have a passion in the development of children from their early stages of sporting experiences and I seek to ensure that all children from all backgrounds are not only given the opportunity to participate but also develop an understanding of the importance of health and wellbeing”
Josh is a professional cricketer currently playing for Somerset County Cricket Club and has had international experience of playing for Scotland in One Day Internationals (ODIs) and T20 Internationals. Josh recently represented Scotland in the T20 world cup in Scotland.
Josh has helped Mr Keast deliver cricket sessions to KS1 and KS2 children this academic year at Chardstock Primary School. The children loved seeing a professional cricketer deliver bowling specific drills.
