Newton Poppleford KS1 Mini Olympics
On Wednesday 20th June, the KS1 children at Newton Poppleford Primary School took part in their annual Mini Olympics Sports Day. They competed in many different events including javelin throw, speed bounce, agility run and a penalty shoot out among other events. The day ended with some running races and some novelty races including a balloon race for the year 2s where a couple of balloons popped just after the race started. Oh dear!
All children were magnificent throughout the day and had lots of fun competing against their class mates and against their other house teams. They all received a certificate for participating in the event. The winners were Green House. Well done the Greens!!!!!!!!!!
