Woodbury Salterton triumph at Woodbury

WOODBURY SALTERTON TRIUMPH AT WOODBURY
Woodbury Salterton come out of top in the Year 5 and 6 mixed tournament that was held at Woodbury Primary School on Thursday 22nd November 2018. The tournament was played in great spirit and the quality of play was outstanding on the tricky surface from all teams. Woodbury A were winners of Pool A with Woodbury Salterton runner ups, Woodbury B were winners of Pool B with Axminster runners up, Woodbury A beat Axminster 3-1 in the first semi final with some outstanding finishes from Aidan and Angus. The second semi final was a lot closer with Woodbury Salterton sneaking through against Woodbury B 1-0 which was down to a great finish from Alex. The 3rd place play off was decided in extra time by Luke from Axminster with a calm finish as they beat Woodbury B 2-1.
The final was a one sided affair with Woodbury Salterton beating Woodbury A 4-0 with some fine individual finishes to the delight of the large support from Woodbury Salterton.
