Acorn Academy Y3/4 Olympics

On Tuesday 5th June Axminster hosted the Acorn Academy year3/4 Olympic games which was won by the team from Marshwood Primary School. Mrs Ethelston’s Axminster, Marshwood and Chardstock all entered a team of 6 children to take part in the events which were shot put, discus, long jump, 60metre sprint, long distance and a team relay. There were some outstanding performances from Charlie, Hannah and Isobel from Marshwood, Elle and David from Chardstock, Tigi from Axminster and Noah from Mrs Ethelston’s who were chosen by the teachers from each school. The event was supported by over 50 parents/guardians which was great to see. The result of the event were as follows:

1st - Marshwood - 340 points

2nd - Mrs Ethelston’s  - 258 points

3rd - Axminster - 227 points

4th - Chardstock - 102 points
